Booking and stay terms
In force from 1 October 2026. Booking through the site means you accept these terms and the cancellation policy.
1. Parties
Accommodation is provided by Hotel SOFIA, 16 Radon Todev Street, 2770 Bansko, Bulgaria ("the hotel"). Any adult may make a booking ("the guest").
2. Booking and confirmation
Bookings are made on the Booking page by choosing a room type, dates, number of guests and extras. Country, first name, last name, phone and email are required. When rooms are available, the booking binds both sides from the moment it is sent; the guest receives an email with a reference and the full terms. Bookings by phone or email are confirmed by reception.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in euro, per room per night for the stated number of guests, without breakfast unless board is chosen. The final price is shown before the booking is sent and repeated in the confirmation email. Payment is made on site at check-in in cash or by card, unless reception has agreed otherwise. Tourist tax is included in the price.
4. Minimum stay
From 1 October 2026 to 15 June 2027 the minimum stay is 2 nights. At other times single-night bookings are accepted. The rule applies to bookings through the site; for shorter stays contact reception.
5. Cancellation and changes
A booking made through the site can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before the check-in date, unless the booking showed other terms for the period. Later cancellations and no-shows are charged 2 nights, or the amount stated for the period. Date changes go through reception subject to availability. The hotel may cancel a booking in case of force majeure, informing the guest at once, with no compensation beyond the sums paid.
6. Check-in and check-out
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is until 12:00. At check-in the guest presents a valid identity document for registration under Bulgarian law. The number of guests may not exceed the number in the booking.
7. Children and extra beds
Children up to and including 6 stay free on the sofa bed; from 7 to 13 the child price applies; from 14 they count as adults. A baby crib is provided free on request.
8. Pets
Dogs and cats up to 10 kg are accepted with prior confirmation at 10 € per night. Pets are not allowed in the restaurant or the children's corner and must not stay alone in the room without arranging it with reception. The guest is liable for damage caused by the pet.
9. House rules
All rooms are non-smoking. Guests keep quiet after 22:00 and treat the hotel's property with care. Damage is compensated at its actual value. The hotel is not liable for valuables left in the rooms or for cars on the parking.
10. Extras
Board, the lift transfer, airport and city transfers, event organisation and pets are requested with the booking or at reception. Services priced "on request" are confirmed by reception before they are provided.
11. Personal data
Booking data is processed only for the purposes of the stay, as described in the privacy policy.
12. Disputes
Bulgarian law applies to all matters not covered here. Disputes are settled by negotiation and, failing that, by the competent court in Bulgaria. Consumers may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
